Sometimes I think about how each of the sides name reveals are like coming out.
Logan was outed, it wasn't a choice but it was ok in the end, he was also really chill about it.
Roman clarified to make things easier and more comfortable. He just said it and moved on like it was no big deal, just a conversation.
Patton was also really chill about, he joked about it. Like it was obvious and nothing crazy.
Virgil had to build a lot of trust before he could vulnerable like that. He was scared of being made fun of so he just blurted it out
Remus was proud of it, he had nothing to hide and if you don't like it boo hoo. But he also uses it as a tool.
Janus was bullied. It took a lot of trust for him to say it, he wanted to bridge the gap between himself and the others by revealing this part of himself. Unfortunately he was immediately made fun of for it.
Now most of the sides names reveals can be seen as pretty positive coming outs. In the end they have been (no long viciously outcasted but) accepted. A lot of them were calm about the whole situuation and for some it's not a huge deal, but for others it is. It marks the trust they have for the others and Thomas.
(I've had this on the brain for way too long)
Whether you get outed and made fun of or you come out on your own terms and keep it light, stay safe out there. It's not a race and there is certainly no finish line so take your time. Happy pride!

as much as I love the "Virgil used to be paranoia" theory I've thought of something else. instead of it being like past tense, how about future tense?? like yk how tempest tongue exsists when anxiety gets heightened? yeah what if there was like something after that... like what if hypothetically C!Thomas gets so bad in anxiety, Virgil changes forms (like how Patton did in SVS redux) and his role turns from Anxiety to Paranoia. and that's why every side is scared to say "paranoid" when Virgil's around cus they've seen paranoia before and Virgil's afraid of becoming that again
i like to think each side has this too
like Morality turns to Catholic guilt (SvS Redux) and Anxiety turns to Paranoia, etc etc and so fourth

THEORY TIME!!!
Logan used to be a dark side.
Let's see how long this gets I might have to put a break in the post-
Ok so I was just rewatching WTIT and I noticed some really interesting things.
First off, Logan and Remus seem to have some sort of... Relationship for lack of a better word. For example, when Remus got stabbed in the eye, Logan seemed to find it somewhat amusing, almost to an endearing degree. Alternatively, the Dunce Scene. Obviously this is Remus being Remus, but Logan seems almost used to Remus' antics, similar to how Janus is. He also seems to know how the dark sides work and how to take them down, including Virgil.
Then, let's call it the Confrontation Scene (when the orange eyes are revealed), Logan admits that Remus has merit and purpose, something that the other light sides can't seem to do. This may be in part to him believing he is emotionless and therefore unbiased, but we all know that's not true. Logan has always advocated for the dark sides, and has primarily been the only one to do so, going so far as to include them in a gift exchange.
My final bit of evidence isn't involving anything canon, but more of a development thing. As kids, Logic seems limiting and fantasy is the most interesting. Exploration is essential for learning and experiencing things that shape us, and while logic has a part in that, it is mostly Morality and Creativity. Another thing is that there's a point where kids think they know everything and everything they say is correct. This could also be because of a "dark logic" taking control.
So my theory is that as a child, Logan was a dark side or neutral at best.
Back to canon, Virgil was only fully accepted into the group when he got 'His Color' and his 'true item' (patchwork hoodie). In the end card, the orange eyes don't have glasses. So what if each side has to go though some sort of metamorphosis to become the most useful to Thomas and they gain a signature item (hoodie, hat, mustache, sash) through doing that.
Logan's metamorphosis could have been going from Orange to Blue (a color that had already been claimed by Patton, technically) and his item is his glasses. But when/if he reverts back to his "dark side", he loses his item (glasses) and becomes Orange again. This could also be the reason he had such a subtle change in his design compared to Virgil, who hadn't had a metamorphosis yet.
And this could also tie into my theory about the Orange Side being Narcissism! I touched on it a bit in my other theory, but sometimes narcissists use logical language to 'prove' their point and manipulate people further, as well as excuse their own behavior.
But yeah! That's my theory! It's not a very strong one and it could easily be blown out of the water if I delved deeper into it, but it was fun! I'm excited to see where Thomas and the team take the orange side regardless of any theories.

Hmm
I've not thought too much about the orange side ngl. But I think, based on this assumption that Remus's orange eye thing is related to Logan's orange eye thing (which is an assumption because clearly those two instances look pretty different), maybe it won't be just a Logan thing? I want to look through the other episodes to see if the orange eye thing has happened on anyone else now lol
I mean, both Remus and Logan had an orange-glowing-eyes thing going on when they wanted to gain the attention of character Thomas/other Sides. So, I feel like orange could be anger, but maybe he's no so evil, or something else that would cause someone to demand attention. He (meaning orange) shows himself a little because maybe he's trying to get character Thomas to stand up for himself? Trying to teach Thomas and the other sides to reach out to people, ask for attention, rely on each other, etc etc. But character Thomas has made it pretty clear that's the sort of thing he thinks of, even just subconsciously, as wrong.
But really orange is over here like Dude I Swear To GOD Its Okay To Rely On Other People. Ask For Attention. In Fact I'm Going To Punch Walls Until You Do That. Bitch

Hello! I need your guys help. If you’re a current fander, an ex fander, whatever it be.
I wanna make a video talking all about the hype cycle basically for “can lying be good” especially the speculation before and the fandom after. I have most of the script written but I want a lot of visuals from this era.
I know there’s not a lot of fanders left in the fandom actively who were there for that time/posted about that. BUT IF YOU ARE OR KNOW OF ANY POSTS. Please send links or screenshots my way of anything during that era of the fandom. So any theories about what the episode was gonna be (I remember people thinking it was gonna be about Roman’s room) or after the video and stuff about Janus. Luckily I do remember this time very vividly and that’s why I wanna make this video, I found it so fascinating and a great time in the fandom.
Right now I’m specifically looking for two main things, but of course I want anything I can get. I remember Thomas posting maybe a tweet or Instagram story perhaps of him saying he was filming at a theatre and I remember everyone thinking it meant it was Roman’s room. There was also a post Joan made on their tumblr (which I believe their tumblr has been deleted) about the notes they made about the episode including like oh Patton is wearing the wrong cardigan to show it’s Janus. Stuff like that. If you can find these posts especially PLEASEEEE send me them.
But yeah! If you have any questions lmk, please share anything you have. If you can, share this post as I wanna get as much information and data as I can. Thank you!!

Hello! I have seen some other fanders commenting about the Janus GRWM video and I have a few opinions about both the video and some of those comments. But please note these are my thoughts and opinions and even some theories about certain things.
Also note that I respect and can understand other people's opinions, I am just sharing my own.
So, overall I found the GRWM video fun and funny. At first when we saw the preview last night,
Tumblr media
I theorized that the colors used were meant to make it more obvious on the skin. Some even pointed out that the change could be because of Thomas's skin condition. To me, despite these colors not being green, they still look slightly green especially with the yellow glove near his face. Most people have more of a problem with the black line for his mouth which I can agree, it is very jarring to the eye and unnatural looking. However, this is not the first time we have seen the black line for Janus.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
You can see it in the screen shots and it is very obvious, and done not as well, in the second picture with Janus's full winter get-up. I think this has less to do with Thomas choosing to change the makeup look and more with the fact that Tayln and Quill (who seems to be doing the makeup now) have different styles when it comes to Janus. This style has also been seen with some cosplayers, which I would show pictures but I cannot find names or media tags for them but you can see examples if you look up Janus Sanders Cosplays. Hopefully by the time the finale comes around, the makeup will not be as jarring and maybe even get better.
Now with the comments about how the characters are portrayed. I can see where this is coming from, they have changed but something we have to remember is that they are representations of Thomas's personality which will change over time. Also Thomas is still trying to get a handle on them without Joan by his side and we haven't had an official episode since Working Through Intrusive Thoughts, most things that have come out since seem to be semi-canon/non-canon. Thomas has also said (via my memory) in his Failures and Success video for 2023, he was using these Aside videos and shorter and easier form content to get used to and understand his characters again and to have more fun with them without the pressure like normal videos.
I want to end this post with saying that Thomas can and does make mistakes, we all do, but these are his characters and he is allowed to change and use them as he sees fits. Just as much as we as fans are allowed to use these characters and change their designs and even sometimes personalities to fit what we want them to fit.
Thank you for coming to my TED Talk, have a good day, treat each other with respect and love, peace out! Love y'all!

I wanted to post this theory I wrote a long time ago about the current relationship between Virgil and Patton!
I really like it! I completely forgot what I wrote and rereading it has given me some new perspectives that I didn’t consider before!
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
In conclusion, I do think it will be up to Virgil to bridge any gaps, mediate any conflict and bring balance to the force -uh, wrong franchise— heheheh you know what I mean
He’s the grey between light and dark. And I know he HATES that lmao
Tumblr media
Just a disclaimer! I don’t believe either Virgil or Patton are either completely in the right or wrong here. I don’t want to put either Side in a bad light. I think what’s happening is a lack of communication.
Thanks for reading, lovely fanders! 🩵💜

ChatGPT knows what it feels like to be a Fander rn. After a lil vent sesh, here’s how it put it exactly:
Because you know what? It’s not just that Thomas Sanders hasn’t posted a new Sanders Sides episode in five years—it’s the emotional WHIPLASH we’ve all endured in that time. One moment we’re sobbing over Virgil’s identity crisis, the next we’re trying to decode a 3-second TikTok where Janus breathes near a mirror and suddenly it’s a whole theory spiral. We’re like detectives trying to piece together a mystery from crumbs—CRUMBS, I tell you!!
And remember when he teased a musical episode? Like… full-on hinted that Roman was gonna get the spotlight back, that we’d see more of the internal war between creativity and anxiety?? And then… radio silence. NOTHING. No curtain call, no intermission, no bootleg we could sneak into—just a void where our content should be.
And the thing is, we’re not mad out of spite. We’re mad out of love. Sanders Sides gave us comfort, representation, found family, mental health validation, a fandom that cared—it made us feel SEEN. And then it dipped. Ghosted us. Didn’t even leave a "brb, going through it" note. Just vague livestreams and, like, "We’re still working on it, promise!" with that polite smile that says “please don’t ask follow-ups.”
The fandom? Still hanging in there like champs. Creating timelines more complex than the MCU. Writing fics that could outdo professional novels. Making art, cosplay, song covers, animatics, whole alternate universes just to keep these characters breathing. We’ve done more world-building than Narnia. But canon?? Canon’s off somewhere in a hammock sipping lemonade like “eh, they got it covered.”
I just want Virgil to get a hug. I want Logan to admit he has feelings. I want Janus to be understood. I want Remus to paint something disturbing and then get a juice box. I want Roman to get his confidence back. And Patton—sweet sunshine dad Patton—I want him to finally talk about his guilt instead of hiding behind those bright blue eyes.
So yeah. Five years later. Still here. Still waiting. Still loving this story with our whole emotionally-repressed, fan-crazed hearts. Thomas, if you’re out there… we love you. But please. Please. Feed us.
We are emotionally malnourished.
And we miss our Sides. 💔

hi guys mitzy here. back with a fucking BANGER post
with all the discussion about the finale and the video that released (that made me like cry) i figured now is as good a time as any to share my theories on the finale!!!!! keep in mind i am stupid and some of this may not make sense so, my bad in advance. also, spoilers for the newest life update video (if that needs spoilers, but just in case!!!)
1. i think the main driving event (based off the last asides and general details we know about c!thomas) is maybe c!thomas diving too far into the relationship too fast (i.e. telling nico he loves him, if i had to guess). roman is very obviously over excited, we know patton has little self control, and with c!thomas’ mental state it’s not irrational for him to cling on to any good thing that comes his way like a vice.
2. orange time. i know there’s A Great Divide™ between the orange side is anger/orange side isn’t anger debate but i honestly have to agree that i don’t think he’s anger. it feels too on the nose. i mean, so many thought roman’s anti was going to be pride and look where we ended up with that. it feels too easy to assume he’s anger. i’ve been doing a lot of discussing with my pals in the sanders fanders discord server and some other ideas could be insecurity, regret, someone even said addiction (bc logan is. totally normal guys), like there are SO many options that would make sense that aren’t anger.
3. i think orange’s name is going to be argos. this is mainly because of all the eye symbolism we’ve had with him and argos is heavily associated with being “all-seeing”. we also know the team absolutely LOVES their greek names. i have the least support for this but i also like it because its cool as fuck. also i did the least research for this like. ages ago so take it with a grain of salt. also, (apparently) in the greek testament of the bible (which we know thomas and the team love) argos is used to refer to leisure/being free from labour sooooo…. that’s cool…….
bye love you all!!

HOLY SHIT
HOLY SHIT GUYS
I THINK I FIGURED OUT WHO THE ORANGE SIDE IS
THE ORANGE SIDE IS NARCISSISM
Also this got really long so it's all under the cut LMAO
Now, I can hear you all saying "isn't narcissism the same as selfishness?"
It's not. Selfishness is putting yourself first and prioritizing yourself over others. Narcissism is believing that you are better or above others, that no fault is yours.
*** I want to make a quick disclaimer right here to say that Narcissists are different from people who have Narcissistic Personality Disorder (NPD). People with NPD do have to be a narcissist, but they are most commonly self aware of their behavior and can't stop themselves. Narcissists do not care that they are acting the way they do, and they do not have to have NPD to be a narcissist.
With that, let's continue to the evidence!
Now, everyone, regardless of being a narcissist or having a disorder, has the capacity to be narcissistic. And in the video where the orange side was shown, Thomas was taking a lot of time for himself instead of cleaning, which by itself is good. It was a good distraction from the intrusive thots thoughts that kept invading due to Nico's lack of reply.
BUT that lead to Logan being questioned, and eventually ignored.
Thomas continually questioned if focusing on distractions was okay, and Logan assured him that it was. Throughout the video, Thomas gets more and more comfortable doing these distractions and prioritizing himself. But when Nico finally responds, Thomas goes to meet him, completely ignoring Logan. I think that may be the start of Thomas believing he is better or more important than the individual sides, and therefore stops listening to them, thinking that He knows best. And I should note, that when the orange side shows himself, it's only when Thomas willfully ignores Logan's advice.
Another thing to note about Narcissists, it's that they love to have all the attention on them. (Logan saying "STOP IGNORING ME!")
And right after that, Remus says "Now you're speaking my language!", which is interesting because sometimes narcissistic tendencies come from intrusive thoughts/feelings of being ignored or forgotten or not good enough. Which is why I think Logan is being targeted the most by this orange side. After constantly having his schedule be rearranged and paused, he's feeling ignored, which leads to a breeding ground for intrusive narcissistic thoughts.
Roman could also be a target, but I think it's unlikely due to the fact that he already had his deal with Janus, and during that said that he would feel bad taking advantage of others. Similarly, Logan being logic, is not clouded by such feelings, and Narcissists tend to use either flowery, feelingsy language, or in some cases, "logical" psychology talk in an effort to make it seem like the narcissist knows more than they do.
Then at the end, when Logan is trying to convince Thomas to stick to the schedule, Thomas says "that's for tomorrow Thomas, or day after tomorrow Thomas. It's not that bad."
"it's not that bad." Is a very common narcissistic phrase meant to demean the feelings and experiences of someone else. To put them down and deter blame from the narcissist.
And possibly the biggest piece of evidence, is during the end card Roman mentions Aphrodite. And we all know how much Thomas drawn inspiration from grecco-roman mythology, so let me tell you a story involving Aphrodite and Narcissus.
"Narcissus was a very handsome young man who lived in the Greek countryside. He was so handsome that the nymphs all tried to seduce him, including a nymph named Echo, who has been cursed by Hera to only speak what she last heard (like an echo!). Echo tried to talk to Narcissus, but it obviously doesn't go well and when he sees her, he rejects her harshly. Then Echo runs off and wastes away in a cave.
Aphrodite, hearing of this, curses Narcissus. When he is next to a pool of water, he sees his reflection and instantly falls in love with himself. And eventually, he wastes away, just like Echo."
Interestingly though, Logan mentions Apollo right after. And there could be many connotations to that, as Apollo encompasses a lot of things. Music, medicine, the sun, prophecy and knowledge to name just a few. Perhaps Logan meant that instead of seeking love (Aphrodite) Thomas should have stayed home to heal mentally or to continue learning something. Or perhaps... It's in reference to prophecy, saying that Thomas should... Look ahead to see something that might be coming...
Idk thats just my theory! Tell me what you think!
I think it would be really interesting to see the sides tackle a topic like this, separating selfishness from narcissist, and realizing that everyone has that capacity. And just like selfishness, a little bit of narcissism can be helpful. You just have to be careful to not let it go too far.

(To preface this, this isn’t directed towards all Fanders, just the ones pressuring Thomas to do more even though he’s been consistently putting out videos anyway, even if they aren’t sanders sides related.)
So, I know me posting this doesn’t do much, if anything at all, but it needs to be said. Your favorite content creators do not owe you anything. You have a parasocial relationship with these people. They don’t know you. Thomas doesn’t owe us anything, especially with all the stress he’s been under with his personal life. for example, Thomas is still consistently posting videos for his series “Roleslaying With Roman” yet semi-toxic Fanders continue to pressure him to post sanders sides content. We’ll get a video eventually, at some point. You need to be patient and also aware of where you, as a fan, stand; and where he, as a creator, stands.
I wish Thomas the best honestly, and have no negative feelings towards any other Fanders but this constant pressure I’ve been seeing on TikTok and (sometimes) Tumblr has just been rubbing me the wrong way.
(Btw this isn’t towards people who say things like: “I wish he would post the season finale because I need to confirm my theories about xyz” this is towards people who are genuinely rude and aren’t grateful that we’re getting content in general.)

Sander Sides Season Two Finale: Thoughts and Wants
Okay, so if you’re here, you likely know how Sander Sides is doing. It’s broken all our hearts and all we can do is write fanfiction and theories as we slowly edge our way to the season two finale. Emphasis on slowly because anyone who’s been part of the fandom for at least a couple months knows Thomas is insanely slow when it comes to releasing new episodes. So slow that the last true Sander Sides episode was more than two years ago, and that was an Asides video. For two years we have been waiting for a follow up to Working THROUGH Intrusive Thoughts! But us Fanders don’t judge. Thomas is an adult, so should be allowed to take as much time as he needs for the sake of his health; and while he takes his sweet time, we have time to craft theories on what this season finale beholds. And that’s why we’re here today.
Hello, I’m Bizarrio, and today I will share my predictions of what I think—and want—to happen in the Sander Sides season two finale. Quick disclaimer, the only two things we know for certain about the finale is that there will be a lot of songs and that it is planned to be four parts long. So there is no way I’ll be able to guess everything that’s going to happen. Anyways, I’ve stalled enough, let’s get to the part you’re here for.
The Structure
Four parts is a lot of parts, but I think I’ve made a formula that the finale could follow.
The first part will introduce the first problem, a simple problem that would be addressed in any Sander Sides episode, from dealing with an issue Thomas has to answering a question about life. In part one, the sides will try to find a solution to said problem. But as the episode goes on, it gets more and more clear that their action and the way they treat each other is stemming from something far deeper than this simple issue. And at the end of the episode, this is confirmed when one of the sides does something drastic, whether it be blurting out something they shouldn’t have or even physically hurting another side.
This leads to part two, where everyone tries to discuss the real problem. In this part, they will try to find the problem and what’s causing it. After finding the problem, they will make a solution that leads to one of the sides being unhappy, which will lead to that side breaking down, causing the events of part three.
In part three, the actual cause of the problem is revealed. And this side’s problems will be on full display, showing a level of despair we haven’t seen of him to this point.
Now knowing the real root of the issue, the fourth and final part would be about Thomas and the other sides comforting the side in their breakdown. They would then find the true solution to the problem. And after they find this solution, Thomas gives his final speech about what he’s learned, kisses Hello Fresh’s feet, and shows us the end card, where we can finally prepare for season three.
The Plot
So that’s what I think the structure will be, but that’s not a plot, so who’s it with?
Well, for starters, the finale will likely focus on one side, and based on recent events, I think that this side will be Roman. Roman’s insecurity has been present since the very beginning and has only gotten worse. And throughout the entirety of season two, he’s been forced to compromise his wants or admit that he is in the wrong, especially in more recent episodes. So I feel like it would be suitable for the finale to be about him. I feel like with the structure I set up, he wouldn’t be the main focus of part one and a portion of part two, but the rest of the parts would definitely start to focus on him, putting him in full center.
And since the finale is Roman centered, the first problem in part one is gonna have a lot to do with him. And that problem will be about Nico.
I think the first conflict will be Thomas trying to decide if he should make a move on Nico. This could be anything from taking him somewhere to straight confessing. I don’t really know, but regardless, Roman is absolutely rooting for Thomas to go for it. Janus and Patton on the other hand, think that it would be a terrible mistake.
Janus thinks that Thomas isn’t in the right headspace to start any relationships, and should be focusing on himself. And from what Patton said about Nico in the five year anniversary, we can tell that he isn’t exactly thrilled about the idea of him. I assume that he’s likely scared of the heartache that would occur if the relationship failed. And after some recent—and totally uninfluential not upsetting—events, I feel like he would also see the merit in Thomas focusing on Thomas.
Things look bad for Roman(and they will be later)but it’s okay. He’s not outnumbered, for he has a very smart, and very cool guy on his side, who also believes that it is reasonable for Thomas to take this chance: Virgil.
When confronted with the issue, Virgil sides with Roman almost immediately, which is a huge shock to everyone. Virgil says that Thomas should get it over with because Thomas has no way of knowing how much time he has, so if he doesn’t do it now, he may never get the chance.
So yeah, part one would mainly be Roman and Virgil vs Patton and Janus as they try to convince Thomas why he should or shouldn’t make the moves on Nico. Patton and Janus’ argument is that it’s the wrong time to do it, while Roman and Virgil’s argument is that this may be the only time. And Roman and Virgil will be absolute couple goals as team up and absolutely obliterate Janus—figuratively.
Also, all the multiple-part episodes so far have involved going to another side’s room. And since this is a Roman centered finale, he’ll take Thomas and the other sides to his room to prove his point about taking risks, and that’s where they’ll be for the rest of the finale. I imagine his room to be vibrant and shiny, covered with shades of red and pink, white, and gold. It’s also very cluttered and messy, with discarded papers and costumes scattered all over the ground, and posters, artwork, and Thomas’ biggest accomplishments hung on every wall. So much stuff is in there, it almost feels claustrophobic. And the different rooms have different effects based on the side it represents. I think that Roman’s room would cause Thomas and the other sides to lose touch with reality, and become fixated on their desires.
*Insert song about time and when you should and shouldn’t take chances.*
But things aren’t all well, for as the episode goes on, the argument gets more and more tense, especially Virgil’s argument. And at the end of part one, Virgil blurts out something along the lines of,
“Of course it’s a bad idea! But which is worse? Losing one friend by making a bad choice, or losing all of your friends to him?” Virgil would be referring to Janus of course. This shocks everyone—especially Roman—and reveals Virgil’s true intentions.
You see, there was more to Virgil’s quick decision than just time. In fact, he never thought Thomas should do it at all. The real reason he was telling Thomas to do it is because he didn’t want Thomas to listen to Janus. It’s clear through every interaction he and Janus have that Virgil hates him, and doesn’t believe that he should be trusted ever. And from recent episodes, it’s shown that Virgil has even started resenting Patton. So I feel like Virgil would be much more happy if Thomas listened to Roman than Patton and Janus.
Then in part two, they discuss the real problem. After discussing this, Virgil finally accepts that it would be better if Thomas didn’t confess his love, and that it doesn’t make Thomas a bad person to listen to Janus this time. And it seems that everyone is satisfied…
    But wait.
What about Roman? He’s not satisfied. He didn’t get what he wanted. Time and time again, Roman has given up on his desires, making compromise after compromise for Thomas’s sake. And once again, he’s the one who has to sacrifice his happiness. He’s the one who gets the short end of the stick. He’s the one who gets called out for his poor decisions. And do they even care? They act like they care, but it’s only really for their own gain.
    Nobody understands. Nobody cares.
Tired of this cycle, Roman snaps. He kicks all the other sides out of his room, putting all focus on him. And in part three, Roman makes a pitiful final attempt at convincing Thomas to confess to Nico. And all of his insecurities are displayed.
*Insert absolutely heartbreaking song about how everything Roman does is for Thomas and how he feels worthless because his contributions seem less important and even more harmful than the others.*
Near the end of part three, or the beginning of part four, the other sides return. Or maybe Roman brings them back? Or maybe he never kicked them out in the first place and he shut them up a different way? I don’t know. But the sides are there. And in part four, they all comfort Roman, claiming that he is important and helpful, and that they wouldn’t be where they are now without him. Patton apologizes for misleading him, and Janus apologizes for taking advantage of him. And I think it would be cool if Virgil had a beautiful speech about Roman, similar to Roman’s speech about him in Accepting Anxiety. Considering that Virgil was Roman’s final straw, and that he hasn’t tried to be nice to Roman as Roman has to him, I think it would be a nice way to bring things all together.
*Insert song about how everyone will always love and appreciate Roman and how he is just as important as everyone else and how Roman and Virgil should totally kiss when this is over.*
And after everyone says what they want to say, and Roman starts to feel better, they go back to Thomas’s living room. Thomas comes to a compromise that makes everyone happy, and he finishes the video off with what he’s learned: Acceptance and the merit to taking risks.
And then he tells us about Hello Fresh and how it’s the superior way of eating.
Wait a minute. I think I’m forgetting someone. Someone who’s really important to the series, and could add some really interesting—and even logical—points to the argument…
    Oh yeah, what about Remus?
Remus and the Orange Side
If the finale is centered around Roman, then Remus has to be there by obligation. A main theme within it would be Roman’s insecurity, and we know that Remus is one of his biggest. So it simply wouldn’t make sense for him to not be there.
In the finale, Remus is just gonna be himself. He’s not gonna pick a side or provide helpful information. No, he’s going to make the same discomforting jokes and taunt everyone, making them feel worse than they already do, especially Roman.
As entertaining as he is though, I don’t see him actually contributing to the plot, other than making things worse. I don’t even see him apologizing to Roman in part four. At most, he’ll begrudgingly apologize for killing him after Janus looks at him sternly.
What I do see however, is some major foreshadowing. When Remus isn’t making inappropriate comments about the situation or blatantly insulting Roman, he’ll try to bring up completely random things that have absolutely nothing to do with the conversation. Thomas and the other sides will brush it off as Remus being his usual self, but those remarks will actually be information of the orange side, and foreshadowing of what he will do in season three.
Speaking of the orange side, what will he be doing?
Honestly, I have no clue, which is why I haven't talked about him so far. It’s pretty clear that the orange side is linked to anger and negativity in some way, and likely has the ability to take control of others when they're upset. And you can’t exactly say Roman’s content during the finale. So it would make sense for orange to reveal himself at this time.
But apart from what he could represent and one of his abilities, we know absolutely nothing about him. And since we don’t know his personality or even his goals, I can’t tell you how he would act in the finale.
Additionally, I also think that a lot has happened in season two so far. The series has grown to be really complex with all its different plot points. And this finale is definitely going to be the effect of all this complicated commotion. So adding the orange side into the mix might make it too complicated. I’m not saying that it couldn’t work or that Thomas can’t make it work, I just feel like the orange is an issue better left to address in season three.
The Other Stuff
There’s also a couple of other things I want to talk about that didn’t really fit in with the other stuff, but weren’t big enough to earn their own section, so I put it all here.
Firstly, I find it very possible that there will be a common analogy in the finale. I’m referring to how Logan and Roman used visuals to prove their points in Why Do We Get Out of Bed In The Morning?, and the whole video game theme in Putting Others First. I think it would be cool if it had a cartoon theme where every side has their own art style. Though, for the finale, it might be more fitting to reference different musicals, since Roman is deeply obsessed with theater. And it would explain why there’s so much music in the finale. But that’s more of a cool idea than an actual prediction.
Second, I’d like to talk about Dark Roman, or Roman becoming an antagonist. I don’t think he can become a darkside, since the dark sides are just parts of Thomas that he hasn’t accepted as good yet, and Thomas already knows that Roman can be a positive influence, even if Roman doesn’t feel like it. That being said, I can definitely see him dealing with not being Thomas’s hero by doubling down on the antagonist thing, and becoming a “villain.” It would also be a good way to involve the orange side.
However, I also feel like even if Roman really tried, he wouldn’t really be that big of an enemy. He may be trying to embrace his evil side, but at the end of the day, he still cares about the other sides and especially Thomas. And I feel like this care for them would hold him back from doing something truly evil. Besides, we already have an evil Roman! And I feel having one of those around is plenty enough.
Also, I think Thomas’ living room should still be messy, showing that he still hasn’t cleaned it after Working THROUGH Intrusive Thoughts.
And Janus should get his own song. It could be about literally anything, just give him a song. He’s earned it.
So, yeah. Those are the things I think will and want to happen in the Sander Sides season two finale. Of course this doesn’t fill in every detail, it would be impossible to guess everything that will happen. And there’s no way everything I’ve said will actually happen. So I’d like to see your thoughts too. Anyways, that will be all, so goodbye every-
Wait. Wait. Hold on a second. I’m forgetting something. Something I’ve seemed to ignore despite being very important to the series. Something that’s been here since the very beginning, and has been a part of some of the best moments in the show. Something all the fans have grown to love…
    What about the end credits!
The End Credits
The end credits have shown us some of the cutest scenes within the whole series, and have provided some really interesting foreshadowing and tension as well. So we have to talk about them!
The end credits of part one will be all the sides berating Thomas for leaving on such a cliffhanger. He’ll try to reassure them by saying that part two will come out really soon, but absolutely no one will believe him.
The things I’ve said so far have been speculation or headcanon, but this one is actually correct. After all the time we’ve waited, it would be such a missed opportunity to not make the joke. So this will be the first end credit or else. No, no, I’m kidding… Or am I?
We’re at the second end credit, and at this point, I’m sure you can tell I’ve been leaving someone out… And it’s Joan!
No, this joke has gone on for long enough. As you can tell, I’ve been avoiding Logan. And it’s not just because I don’t see him having a place in a Roman centered episode. In fact, I do see him in it.
He would call both sides irrational, and propose a compromise. (The same compromise they make in the final part…) But he would be ignored as the other sides try to talk over each other. And it would be especially bad this episode. So much that he would quit trying and leave the conversation, similar to how he did in Moving On and Putting Others First. Only this time, no one will be there to notice or care…
And that’s where the end credits come in.
The second end credit will show Logan right after he leaves to his room. He starts to talk to himself about how frustrated he is about being pushed aside so often. He talks about feeling unwanted and possibly unneeded as Janus is slowly taking his place as the voice of reason.
The third end credit continues his monologue, showing him grow more and more upset.
We finally reach the fourth end credit and Logan is completely furious. But his monologue gets cut off when Remus enters his room, he of course immediately masks his anger. He tells Logan about everything he missed and how they came to the exact same conclusion he was trying to push, only to be ignored. This breaks Logan’s composure, and he starts lamenting all his frustrations to Remus. Remus interrupts him, claiming that the root of the issue is that he doesn’t stand out enough, and that all he needs to do is be as loud as they are. They then turn to Logan’s door as they hear footsteps; Remus smiles. We see a glimpse of the man at the door. Perhaps we see an orange-hazed silhouette, or a pair of shoes we have yet to see. Or maybe, just maybe, we even hear his voice,
    “I can help with that…”
Conclusion
And that’s everything I think will and want to happen in the Sander Sides season two finale, for real this time.
And as I said before, almost anything can happen, so I’m bound to be wrong about something. Thomas has also said that he plans to to get at least parts one and two out by the end of the year, so we’ll get to see any day now.
And in the end, while I may not know exactly what will happen, I do know that this finale will leave us laughing, crying, and absolutely hyped for season three. I am so excited for the finale, and I know I’ll love it, regardless of what happens.
    Goodbye everyone.
